It would work for all versions as all mods would, the problem is that nobody can make such a mod, the engine resolution problem is hard-coded and not amount of modding is gonna fix that. Just like there is no access to the really interesting graphics variables. Shadow resolution for one. But also the LOD settings and clip-off distances for shadows.

Here's the link to a mod that "fixes" stretches the resolution to be full-screen that was posted on here some time ago.

http://www.flawlesswidescreen.org/

Original trend is here http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/possible_widescreen_fix

As of right now it only works for the steam version of the witcher 2 however.

Leondres: Can we get a 16:10 resolution fix? Seriously, anyone who can do this for the gog version of the game, I'll donate to. I cannot wait for a fix for this.

josh6135: when you say "can do this for the gog version of the game" , why would a mod be done for the gog version? wouldn't a mod work on all versions?
Because there is one for the steam version that doesn't work with the gog version as of yet.

It may not be a perfect fix, but at this point i'd take it. The letter-boxing affect makes me physically sick to look at for too long.

I stand corrected then, but it does not fix or improve anything for 5:4 and 4:3 resolutions... official fixing is required. Not to mention that it seems to break the games graphics.

I'm all for the official fix, but the issue is at this point is there is no word on when this is coming. I wish I would have known they weren't including other resolutions for the release, I would have waited on buying the game.

I can't enjoy the game as it stands right now, I'll take whatever I can get at this point since CD projekt has said nothing on when its coming for sure. I don't want to have to wait weeks to just play and enjoy the game.

Well no word indeed, but the "word" has been that its not gonna be fixed in the next patch. So i can understand you perfectly ,) I am in the party with the 4:3/5:4 problem so to me the black bars are 1/3 of the screen.

And stretching the image looks very, very wrong. ;(
Thank you very much for taking the time to put all together and organize. Also big thanks to the guys that made each. Keep it up ^^
Thanks a lot for the list, it is a "must"
UPDATED 26/05/2011

Ok I had some time and did the following:
Reduced runes stats,
Modded the mutagen stats more,
Finished modding all armor mods,
Added freezing to moon and earth runes,
Mutagen drop rate up
Materials gained on looting up.
Food shops sell DLC items and other stuff on a fast refill rate if you use the def_shops file, (doesn't look like DLC items show I could be wrong.)

Modded the mod to allow mutagens on all abilities and changed the boosts of the abilities when you buy them, this one might be too overpowered end game because I haven't added up all the values overtime.

Try the new one and tell me what you think.

Thank you for this topic!
BOOM, thanks you sir :D
I'm already hitting the limit for post length on the forums! I'll have to work on a way to list things more efficiently.
You might want to create a master post, with the categories redirecting to another post for organization and length..

Just my $.02

I appreciate you keeping this thread updated.

Hopefully when we get the forums back it will be easier to control!!!

Thank you so much for this, definatly makes the game more playable and less annoying. Basically all these mods are must have.

As one of the most active modders of TW1 and current employee of CDP RED, I need to stay that your pace of creating interesting mods it's very impressive.
It seems already we've more mods than TW1 had after its the first year. I hope it's just a beginning :)

I'd like to give you some tips.
1) Upload your mods on ModDB game profile: http://www.moddb.com/games/the-witcher-2-assassins-of-kings/mods
Advantages? You never lose your files. You'll see download counter, comment, analitycs for traffic (in some points similar to Google Analitycs) and much more... discover it! :)
2) propagate info about mods in popular places like Steam forums, maintain contact with players
3) never stop trying yo find things you'd like to improve/change in the game
4) don't be shy - ask for help if you need

PS Nice to see you here, Corylea :)
Could someone perhaps add arachas eyes to a shop in Flotsam? It would be much appreciated. Thanks!
