brownybrown: Ianis, does that mod also change the text to show you what the new effect is?
It does mate, all gear is updated with the new and more balanced stats.

However the Better Combat mod that it is recommended by Kindo to be played in conjunction with CEO doesnt have updated ability descriptions in the talent tree's unfortunately. Just so you know in case you decide to install that aswell, since they both work very well together =)

There is an optional manual the author created with all ability changes though, for referance.

Yes like Seren kindly answered , there is the infos for sword stats :)

It's great cause in vanilla game , you always end up using more or less the same few (powerful) swords , whereas with this CEO mod , most of the sword are attractive depending your Geralts skills , for instance the nice looking Sword of Cainghorn was useless in vanilla , now you can use .it for the whole chapter 1 , same with sword like Frist rate Temerian sword or the Elven sabres

The mod also changes mutagens and runes effects (much better now , all runes are attractive now ) , so far it works very well except the concentration mutagen which for some reasons do not increase potion duration as specified in the description , so i ended up using mainly the power , strength and critical mutagens

i don't use the better combat mod cause i wanted to have an experience as close as to the vanilla game as possible , i did not want too many changes in the core gameplay and skill tree :)

I highly recommend both mods for experienced players. You could probably enjoy CEO without Better Combat, but not as much vice versa. Both were really developed in tandem, though.

Better Combat's author has been reluctant to change the core files necessary to display Ability changes in game ui. He doesn't want sloppy modders blaming him for reinstalls when the next official patch comes. I think he will eventually offer an optional file. It is very little trouble for me to refer to a printed spreadsheet for the time being.

Aye i read about that,he said it was something to do with the mod changing core game files if he was to update the talent descriptions. So he is afraid to do it because of some people forgetting to back their files up,thus forcing reinstalls when a new patch comes along.

However i agree with you,it doesnt matter to me either..im quite content using the DOC file for referance. I did feel it was prudent to warn anyone who might download it though. It could be cumbersome for some people for various reasons.

Either way though, great mods. I personally wouldn't mind a bit more difficulty. Im hoping the author of the Flash Mod for W1 is working on that though..but that probaly wont be evident until the official forums come back online.
I'll send a million bucks to the first one to mod in a storage chest... ok, I won't but you'll have my eternal gratitude. :)
Armor looks great but Geralt is always depicted clad in Leather or the sort.
Another little texturemod on the Nexus: Alchemy Gloves of The Elder Blood.

And here's the magic pants to go with the gloves: http://www.witchernexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=135.
Both in two versions, original EB and a darker tone.
Would be at all possible to add an update history section to his Google Document? I regularly check in on this list and its somewhat frustrating trying to figure out what new mods have been posted.
The Nexus has an updated mods listing history already.........
True but not every mod in the Google Doc is hosted on the Nexus.
They should be.
Can i request mod in this thread? I like the following mods if possible:

- GUI/Interface switch between Journal/Map/Inventory/Character screen. At the moment once you are in one of the said screen, you can't switch between the others before pressing ESCape. Make it so you can switch between them without ESC.

- Storage Chest please.

- Mod/Utility that i could set the volume of the Music, Battlemusic, Dialogues, Ambience, Sound Effects(Swordfights, magic, bombs, Monsters/Human battecry)
also is there a savegame + mod or is there something similar to allow you to keep everything from one playthrough
