The advertisement page Free Digital Witcher 1 Copy for ... says that all owner of the gog.com version of the witcher 2 would get a free digital version of the witcher 1. I send a message to customer support a week ago, but did not get an answer to this point. Customer Support seems non-existent, other calls for support in the past were never answered too. Edit: Support answered timely.

But to the point. Perhaps this forum is read by gog or cd project employees. I bought the gog.com version of The witcher 2 on release. I would like to have an free digital copy of the witcher 1 added to my games library, this account i use to make this post, it is the only i have. I already own the platinum retail version of the witcher 1 but there was no serial number inside the package. It is a drm-free version, so no serial was delivered with it i think.

Are you sure, that owners of The Witcher 2 are getting Witcher 1 free on gog?

I got Witcher 1 free on gog, but only because I used my steam key of Witcher 1.
I never heared that owners of Witcher 2 are getting Witcher 1 free.

If you have a sales slip of Witcher 1, than you can maybe contact the support and they will give you the key.

I think you are mixed up. You get a digital copy of Witcher 2 on GOG, even if you bought it elsewhere. You do not get Witcher1.

Tw1 was a preorder bonus for tw2 preorderers on steam for excample, as i recall. But you were right i got things mixed up, or the advert page was a little confusing, but i got a platinum version of tw1 without serial key nonetheless as i mentioned in my post. I preordered The Witcher 2 on steam. I can't remember that Witcher 1 was a free bonus. However, maybe I forgot it, because I already owned Witcher 1 on steam at this time.

I did buy from gog.com, steam has free copies of prequels all the time as preorder bonus. I think to recall such a thing when tw2 was released. So it was more an assumption then a direct recall by my side. Maybe i am wrong.

I used the method 227 has pointed at, so i think the case will be solved in 2 or 3 days, when i get my email from gog.com.

The time limit is for those who don't have CD-keys to claim one, not for the whole program. If your friend already has his key then it's not necessary to rush since the program will continue for "the foreseeable future."

That being said, it's always best to redeem things like this as quickly as possible. Just wanted to clarify for the sake of anyone who stumbles on this thread later.
