My CE had a slightly damaged Geralt bust as well, a bit of his nose came off. I figure I don't mind since the bust was the last thing on my mind when ordering, but, yeah - the plastic gave out and broke, I really don't think this type of plastic is intended for such transportation without resting on something for support (bubble wrap or some type of foam for instance).

Otherwise I'm quite satisfied with the contents, no missing items in it, and the art book is quite nifty.
Nearly had a scuffle with Amazon staff over this issue... I live outside the US and thought my case was a one off case. Did a search today and to my surprise, I got tons of people with the same issue...

But on the retrospect, I should have expected this. I am a collector of anime figurines and even the cheapest ones I bought are much better packed than the Geralt bust. The inner plastic in the box was so thin that it'll probably be a minor miracle that the item reach anyone intact...

So very disappointed...

I already opened another thread on this
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/collectors_edition_woes
but just so you don't feel alone in your pain I'll re post my pic ;D
My vendors proposition is to refund me 10% of the CE price if I decide to keep it, lol.

EDIT
Was just thinking about this the other day, my guess is that EVERY buyer who got his CE delivered by mail owns a more or less damaged sculpture.

Can I send a picture of my game controller's non functional analog sticks after patch 1.1?
Mine was mailed and took 10 days and arrived in pristine condition. The reason they get damaged, is because of poor packaging, that's it. You could toss the darn thing around if it was properly wrapped because that's what happens when it's being mailed across long distances. Don't blame CDP, blame Amazon. When I ordered Fallout 3 from them (with the statue), the statue was broken, the lunch box heavily dented - because they had jammed it inside just a cardboard fold thingy.

AndreiTV: I've decided to buy the Collector's edition and preordered it from Amazon (living in the US).

On the day of the release the game came as expected. Unfortunately, the black tray had cracked completely on 3 sides, the statue was scratched and there was 1 die missing from the dice poker set. What, really?! ....
Isn't it somewhat embarrassing to collect video game statues, dice and whatnot. I'm just curious to know what your family or friends think. I'd be mortified if my significant other filled the room with that.

Understood. I also have the collector's edition. My staue has black crud all over it but luckily it is intact. More "upset" with controller issue after patch so could not resist the sarcasm after reading on their homepage about attaching a picture.

Why? It's a hobby, just like many others. I have a Vault-tec statue from the Fallout 3 CE as well as a small Gumby and Pokey on my computer desk. My wife doesn't mind - in fact she gave me the Gumby and Pokey. I'm 47 years old, btw.

You must get embarrassed easy. My family doesn't care my friends where like that bust is better then most Collector's Editions.

I do a lot more stuff that I should be embarrassed about yet im not....streaking anyone?
If it doesn't have a T-Shirt or poster in it, not interested.

Or a bobblehead ;)

Publishers only give away t-shirts to the gaming media people, so they can act cool and special on Youtube, never to us common mortals, didn't you know that?
