scampywiak: I mean let's be realistic..most console players are knuckle heads, very young knuckle heads...and CDPR hopes to sell their highly complex RPG to these kids?....Really?
If they change the title to "The Witcher 2: Bewbs and Gore," they'll sell 10 million copies.

On average, xbox players may not be mature enough to truly appreciate the game. That doesn't mean they won't buy it for the aforementioned sections of bust and blood, though. Money is money, and kids are stupid enough to buy things for shallow reasons (hence every shooter game essentially being the same and no one really noticing/caring).
Still seems like a misplaced investment to me. Console gamers want Call of Duty and Gears of War, do they not? Or maybe Mario Brothers. They aren't prepared for the kind of moral subtlety that The Witcher offers. Let's not forget, TW2 involves actual reading. Are console gamers prepared for something like that?

Mario has metric tons of moral subtlety. Example: in Mario 64, you can either save a baby penguin by returning it to its mother, or leave it to its fate. If you save it, you have to climb all the way back up the mountain. Boom, moral dilemma.

Okay, but seriously. it's my opinion that console gamers like to pretend to be older than they are and feign sophistication in their game choices. I've never heard a console-owner explain away owning Gears of War by going, "Oh, you shoot stuff and it dies!" It's always, "The game has a really deep story." It's this specific personality trait (or delusion) that leads me to believe that there will be significant interest in the Xbox version of Witcher 2.

That and the sex in the game. Young'uns are gluttons for the nasty.
Gears of War and deep story in one sentence... :O
Reading about how TW2 on XboX is a misplaced investment makes me laugh.

I wonder why such a giant like Bethesda is releasing their epic open-world infinite dragons GOTY game on all 3 platforms. Must be a bunch of dumbasses at the management level! Cause from how you describe a console player it's obvious that Skyrim will be not for him either.

So, someone is wrong here. Either CDPR, Bethesda or...console haters. Guess we have to wait and see.

Hmm..may be its time CDPR said FU to Namco Bandai and even Xbox 360, then work on Witcher 3 (silently as they worked on Witcher 1 and Witcher 2 before, only for PC).

Xbox360 users; if they want Witcher 2..they can go to Namco Bandai and beg them for it.
But I already have The Witcher 2 on PC, played it through (three times), and I assume that you all have too. I didn't give a shit when CDPR made the 'exciting announcement' during E3, and I don't give a shit now. In fact, I'd have preferred it if consoles were never ever considered in the creation of this game.
