I went around to all my local game stores yesterday, and each are opening at 9am and releasing TW2. And yet I hear talk of the digital download not releasing for Australians until 5pm?

Can someone confirm this please.

You can buy the game before the official release, but you won't be able to play it until CDProjekt flicks the switch.

Whens the switch being flicked, any idea?

Activation and playing the game will be possible:
- at 00:01 on the night of May 15-16 for the Polish Collector's Edition
- at 00:01 UTC on May 17 for the Premium Edition
- at 09:01 UTC on May 17 for the digital editions

Woah, so for supporting GoG I have to wait a whole extra 9 hours?!

Meh.

Yeah, seems so. But in my opinion it's not so much of a problem. I'd rather wait 9 hours longer and have my DRM-free version than deal with SecuRom which has a 3 installation limit.

EDIT: My guess is that this is probably a measure to prevent the registration servers from failing.
