Please correct me but I still haven't found their forum?? Is it up. Reading over the Witcher Web page everything looks so sincere and they have my sympathy (tolerence) for their PROBLEMS...but really I'm not a conspiracy paranoia person but its been a long time now!!

Their posting of Game score ratings seems disengenuous(EDIT can't spell for crap) everyone giving them such high marks...really??? I sorrily have to think they are incompetent for prolonging this!!

I hope not.. The reason for this posting: I wanted to reference some of the Witcher 1 mods and some issues I ran into.. and was trying to remember what the orig authors comments were!! Anyone in the know, Know whats the real story??? Thanks

They're posting of game reviews was very good. Most devs only link the positive review, CDPR also linked Destructoid's review, which was a 6/10. The game has been praised by almost every other reviewer, so they are being honest about that.

As for the forums, well, I dunno. They clearly weren't prepared to launch the overhaul and the game at the same time, but I certainly don't think it's intentional.

Thanks but I was looking for the Witcher 1 forum just posted here because its most active!!
It would be great to have at least the official forums back because I, personally, feel a bit let down as a customer right now. No forum, no reply from the tech support and a game that is not running at all anymore. I hope they will fix everything soon because I'd love to get back to the game.

Was it a GOG game? Doesn't seem much problems with that(which is what I have) I haven't had any complainable issues technically with this game. Most threads here have solutions that I have read, sorry its still an issue with your setup.
I think they're understaffed and perhaps unprepared. It's taking forever for the forum to get up.
The probably didnt expect this kind of response from the gamers of the world. The forums they had planned would probably have crashed and burned the second they turned them on.

Like this forum is crashing and burning lol?

You registered you copy of The Witcher with your account on the official forums and the forums showed you had a registered copy. They were going to let you register TW2 on the same account but that didn't work and they said create a new forum account to register TW2 and they would somehow merge the new account with your old one later. The forums were taken down just before release and haven't come back.

They obviously were not well prepared and something screwed up, but, activation and free DLC and patch download also screwed up and I'm sure the forum was considered a lower priority.

I bought the Australian version at a retailer. My problem is that I do not get the game to start at all anymore. I de-installed it because I've read that this could help after I had the problem with the message "game invalid or incomplete". So it installed and downloaded the patch automatically. (I'm running the game as admin) However, when it tries to apply the patch, I get the same old message (and I have not altered a single thing, no mods, no DLCs, nothing) and the launcher shuts down. When I try to cancel the running of the patch (it always comes up when I start the launcher) and try to start the game, I get another error message.

Well, I hope they will get the game running even for us Kiwis and Australians. We're probably the last people they think about because there's not so many of us.

I also tried to see whether my flatmate's PC (different Windows, different specs) can run the game with the patch. Nope, same problem, seems to be a real problem with the Australian patch. It's not just me.
their forums are down because they're trying to avoid whiners like you.
:S i don't get what do you want to say? what happened? are they all getting murdered one by one and can't lift up the forum? XDD

and ofc the ratings are real XDDD here you go (from IGN and Gamespot):

IGN - 9.0 (http://pc.ign.com/objects/143/14345201.html)
Gamespot - 9.0 (http://www.gamespot.com/pc/rpg/thewitcher2/index.html?tag=topten%3Ball%3B1)

You my friend are unique and if you trace your ancestry will find your birthplace on UrAnus!!
haha, I read the title as 'Are they Hornets?'. I had a confused look on my face while I was reading the OP and then looked back at the title again and understood my confusion. =D

in that case they're not being very professional, are they?
and i think we're completely within our rights to complain if we're not getting the support from the devs that we 're supposed to after paying for the game.
I think its a tad unprofessional on CDPR to not to get the official forum up even after nearly two weeks of game's release.
There is no need to call other people "whiners" just because they have concerns and problems with the game.
