I just downloaded and installed: The Witcher - Extended addition-directors cut. When I try to run the game, I get an error saying : You are missing file d3dx9_35.dll. I am running Windows7 Ultimate, 64 bit. I sure could use some help with this.

I also have virtual software: Windows XP Professional, if that would help.

You need to download and install DirectX 9.0c. Don't worry, it will not overwrite DX10 or DX11, it's a legacy version that's needed for older games. There's full info and a link in the sticky thread entitled Fixes To Common Problems.
