For some reason when I got to start a new game and go to new adventures looking for Price of Neutrality I have no New Adventures and am unable to patch the game.

Do I need to uninstall the game and re install?

Which patch are you trying to install?
1.4 and 1.5 are available at the official Witcher webpage (look for "Updates"):
http://en.thewitcher.com/witcher/

Your installation must include 1.4 (or be Enhanced Edition of The Witcher) in order to apply the newest patch.
Run the patch as Administrator (right-click => Run as Administrator).

Maybe the adventure module isn't correctly installed. You could reinstall the GOG version or download and reinstall The Prince of Neutrality only. Here's a download source for the latter (haven't tried it myself):

The adventures should be under Documents\The Witcher. It is possible, due to the dark magic of UAC and file system virtualization, to end up with two Documents\The Witcher folders and the adventures installed in the wrong one.

Try browsing Libraries -> Documents in Windows Explorer. If there are two "The Witcher" folders there, that's your problem. Copy the adventure files (*.adv) to the other copy of the folder.

For "The Price of Neutrality" in particular, see DeMignon's post. The old additional adventures were dropped from the distribution when the Witcher EE came out, and you have to obtain them from another source.
I look in the Documents\The Witcher. The only folder in there was \Saves Nothing about adventures. I did save my saved game and uninstall and re install which did give me price of neutrality. I have the GOG version. I tried patching with 1.5 and it would not let me. I was able to patch with 1.4 but it didn't do anything I still did not have the New Adventures. I don't know how to install the New Adventures manually.
You don't need to be trying to patch the game if you have the GOG version - this is the general rule of thumb for GOG. You should state what version you have in your first post so people don't get confused trying to give you patching advice. I also can't believe someone is giving you patching advice without first asking what version you have.

So first thing is, get rid of any patches you've got, and just do a clean install of The Witcher.

Next, if the adventures aren't showing up in-game, check the proper folder to see if they are installed:

The adventures are not located in Documents\The Witcher (I don't think they're there in any version of WIndows). That's where the saves are.

Adventures are in C:\Users\Public\Documents\The Witcher\

These are the file names:
m1_module.adv
m2_module.adv

So, you need to check inside C:\Users\Public\Documents\ and see if by mistake there are TWO folders called The Witcher there. If there are, copy the files listed above from one folder into the other.

For future reference, if you ever want to download and install other fan-made adventures, that is where you'll put them. Mostly it's very simple, just a single file with the .adv extension that you place in the folder.

Bumping old thread to say: THANK YOU. Running on Win7 64-bit at least, this is the solution. I am running Steam version of the game. Creating the folder path in "Public" and placing the .adv files in there worked!
The same situation in Windows 11. These files are in

C:\ProgramData\GOG.com\Galaxy\support\1207658924\1207658924\add\The Witcher\m1_module.adv

and needed to be copied to C:\Users\Public\Documents\The Witcher.

GOG this is your game and it still have problems.

It doesn't work on ultra wide screen monitors too.
