So in chapter 2, I saw this wraith wandering around muttering about his whore of a wife. He wouldn't talk to me.

Now, I'm in chapter 3, and a new character appeared: the wraith's wife, who wants me to do something about it. But when I go back to the wraith, I still can't talk to him. No matter how many times I click him, he just says his wife's a whore and he's cold, etc.

Now, I'm confused because the Witcher wikia says that this is a chapter 2 quest, and one forum post says that you can't complete it in chapter 3 because the NPC is gone. But I definitely started the quest via the NPC in chapter 3. ANOTHER site says that this is a chapter 3 quest.

So if anyone can clear this up, that'd be great. If I can't complete it, no big deal, it's one of many side quests and I only get a couple hundred orens for it. I just want to know if I should keep trying or if I'm doing something wrong.

You need to kill the wraith and afterwords talk to his wife which you will meet at the cemetery gate at noon i think. But i am not shure if you will meet his wife i chapter 3, but if you say that you got the quest i chapter 3, then you will probably also be able to complete the quest.

I'm definitely in chapter 3. I woke up at Triss's house in the Trade quarter, etc. Then I went back to the other part of town to plant those sensors.

But yeah... I can't attack the wraith or talk to him or anything. He just repeats "I'm c-c-cold" "Where's my body?" etc.

Thanks for the reply.
So his life is green? Because if his life is blue, you can just equip your sword and attack him.

Well, I thought I'd tried that, but that was it! Thank you. I'm glad that unfinished quest won't nag at me anymore. :P
