Hi, I'm so sorry for complaining a bit here now ('cause you do a good job at GOG with giving us good games for good prices), but since my buddy was just about to buy me The Witcher as a birthday gift today, at a time when we thought the $4.99-deal would still be on, and it isn't, I feel that I just have to ask if I missed or misunderstood something somewhere.

In the newsletter from GOG that I got the eleventh of may, with the subject "Purchase and pre-download The Witcher 2 on GOG.com today and play it on the release day!", it says at the bottom of the mail "The Witcher: Enhanced Edition available now, for a special price (only until May 26) $4.99".

And... well, it's the 25th right now in Sweden where I am (time being 10:50 AM). So, like... wut?

I also noticed the news (unfortunately I did so only a few minutes ago) on the frontpage about the endng of the deal http://www.gog.com/en/news/the_witcher_enhanced_edition_promo_is_ending_in_fewer_than_24_hours, but since that piece doesn't mention a change in the availability of the deal, I figure something happened inbetween the mail I mentioned and this thing..?

Oh well, time to finally pick up Planescape: Torment for $9.99! :D

If it is 10 dollars or five dollars.. Your friend is a horrible person. =P Five was a truly a bargain but ten dollars, it's still definetely worth it. And torment is also awesome game. it would be neat if there was a remake or something. Now my screen is 24" so 800x600 resolution looks so bad.
I think I misunderstood it because I thought it was meant to end when TW2 came out. Maybe your friend could put $5 towards it, and you put the other $5 in? I ended up paying about $20 for it since bought the physical copy off Amazon before I realised GOG were selling it.
I just checked, and my mail said the 26th as well. I already took advantage of the deal a while back, so I'm not out or anything. I still think something needs to be done about this though. It just doesn't seem right.

The resolution for Torment is 640x480. ;)

I usually just delete those e-mails but if you have it I would send it to support as they will most likely honor it if they made a mistake and it does say the 26th. I know the site does read 24th.

Have you yourself used that? Inventorys and such still work flawlessly? Maybe I'll try someday. =)
Bought for 5$, wouldn't buy for 10$, but now I am very satisfied, I even tried it (I don't try some games that I get cheap cause of lack of time) and actually after trying I am a bit hooked up with the game. Maybe gonna buy myself the 2 after finishing this one. A good move on their part imo, a good "Commercial" for the sequel too.
