Hi,

This is the first time I purchased a game from GOG. I'm liking it so far, and haven't ran into bugs yet. One annoyance is that every time I start the game (windows 8.1), the UAC prompt pops up for ed6_win.exe. I trust you guys and click on yes, but it's strange that a game would need to do something like that. Any chance this can be looked at for future patches?
A lot of older games require that they be run as an administrator due to the fact that they write configuration files and such in the game's directory. GOG enables it by default for compatibility purposes. If you want, you can chance the privilege level by right clicking on the icon, going into properties, going into the compatibility tab, and unchecking the "Run this program as an administrator" box.

So long as the game isn't in C:/Program Files/ then the chances are decent it will run without admin privileges.

P.S. Trails is an old game by PC standards. Back in 2004, everything ran with admin privileges. :)

I unchecked it and the UAC prompt is gone, and I've been playing with no issues. Thanks for letting me know!
