I've just bought the game here on GOG as it was on sale at a fairly cheap price, thing is when I launched it and looked a bit into it, I haven't seen anything about daily challanges. Daily challanges are kind of needed towards unlocking Dead God which I would love to achieve. I'd be frustrating knowing they aren't a thing here. Any answer is kindly appreciated.

I read on the reviews that the daily challenges aren't included also which version is the game now on GOG?

So what is Dead God thing in this game is it an achievment only or does it do something in the game?

Edit: think dead god would be part of achievments in repentance but since we don't have daily challenges guess nothing can be done though i could be wrong about this.
And also don't know are the offline installers available?

The current version is v1.7.8a for both Galaxy and offline installer versions.

I don't think daily challenges could be released on GOG without any form of Galaxy support, since Daily Challenges are curated by the developer. So the risk to be considered DRMed is very high. The very first version of Isaac didn't include the unlocks related to Dailies, but it changed in the current version.

To be honest, I don't even care about daily challenges, I'd rather they implement alternative ways for getting the broken modem, the cracked crown and the horf pill, in a similar way to the left hand.
We do need some clarification though on whether the unlocks related to daily challenges have been re-assigned to achievable goals in the GOG version. So far there has been absolutely no developer feedback here. It is quite disappointing.

Also needed some indication that the new version (1.7.9a currently) is coming here soon. Why is the GOG version treated like an afterthought?

Because it is, I honestly think that. So much of it is miles worse than the steam version that I can't see it not being.

No daily chalenges, no achievements (which the devs did say on twitter they were looking to implement, only for us to be ghosted again), modding is a pain in the ass, months to get the updates (if we get them at all, because the devs sure don't seem in a rush to tell us when or if), no multiplayer, no support from them in the forums, no nothing. We paid the same, and yet, we are not even remotely treated the same way. It's really disappointing.
