I hate this feature but I want to use characters made by me not the game designers so how do I obtain the tokens needed for creating additional party members?

By doing certain quests. When you find Rabbie's friends at the start, he should give you a couple tokens you can use at the Adventurer's Guild.
Thanks. I was hoping there was a way to get a full created party out of the gate but oh well. I still don't see why they thought making to earn tokens to create party members beyond your inital character was a good idea.
You also want to hold onto a couple in case you want to respec through the adventurer's review board.

Also inevitably you'll have more characters than you can use if you do side quests, so keep in mind creating mercs is fun but not mandatory.

I want a full created party though. Having pre-made characters for players who don't want to make their full party is nice but why make those of us who like creating their full party have to do extra work?
Maybe the game has been created the other way: Playing with pre-made characters that have a background and a story, like Baldur's Gate & co.

So, in that context, creating his team is just optional because some efforts has been put in the pre-made
