I have tried a few times today to install The 11th Hour and each time I get a message "Do you want this app to make changes to your device? GOG Galaxy scriptInterpreter" I hit Yes and then it fails and galaxy says "Installation failed (E2) Failed to finalize the installation". I've tried this with Galaxy, without Galaxy. I deleted the game folder, and the cleared the registry entries that I was allowed to. Is this related to the "Access violation error after integrity check" issue or not? if not, what can I do to fix this? Thanks

Go to the game forum and post about it, and then send a bug report to GOG tech support--open a ticket. I've seen that happen with the manual file downloads, and sometimes with Galaxy--but not often, and Gog is usually attentive about these things. 11th Hour is a really old game so something may have slipped by them.

EDIT: I cannot install it either!--just tried a Galaxy install. I uninstalled the game first and then attempted to reinstall--it failed. No reason given.

EDIT#2--Good News, I was able to use the manual install files to install the game without a problem, and it runs just fine. There are two manual files--a small setup file, and then the larger game file with the .bin suffix. Both files must reside in the same directory or else the game won't install, of course.

I'm running Windows 11 BETA channel, build 22000.556, and I set the 11th Hour Launcher settings under the compatibility tab to "Change setting for all users," & "Windows Vista" compatibility mode, and "change high DPI settings" to "Application"--left everything else blank, and it runs fine. I'm sure the game will run fine on stock Win11 and Win10.

The fast-slow settings for ctrl+ or ctrl - do not work. However, I have a couple of theories about that and if I get them to work I'll come back and add the info.

EDIT #3--Well, apparently GOG has fixed the problems as it installs now from Galaxy as well as from the manual files. Good job, GOG.

By the game forum, do you mean The 7th Guest series forum? That's were I posted this. And how/where do I send a bug report?
I was stuck in an endless loop of Galaxy getting near completion of the install, then the permission box popping up, and the installation failing.

Tried the offline installer, plus restarting my system, and it worked.

Running a Windows 11 machine.

Same here with win 11

any solution?
Same issue that it won't install.
Windows 11
Same. Any updates on how to get the installation to finish?
For me, even though the game fails to install I'm able to run it without issue directly from the install directory.
