Hi guys,

So basically, I'm having a graphical flickering in Overseer. Whenever I get to 3d portions of the games such as Tex's Office, lots of textures flicker violently.

Am running WinXP 32-bit, 3gb RAM, plenty of disk space and a GTX 660.

Have tried different drivers but to no avail. I have also tried switching to software render mode which displays perfectly, however, if I use the right mouse button to move around, the game instantly crashes and freezes up with no way of ending the process.

Can anyone who has encountered this same issue and fixed it shed some light? I've been toggling all the video settings but nothing seems to be working.
Same problem here... But running 8.1 64-bit. And I can't even go to the config menu. Every time I try to make a change, the game crashes instantly...

Hi, I have the exact same problem and nearly the same graphcs card (NVidia GTX650 Ti). There was only one workaround for me to get this game to work without flickering and for most people this will not help much: run the game on windows 7. I have both systems and even with the newest driver on XP it is flickering - no such problems on win7. I tried many days so I think there is no real solution except to buy an older graphics card.

I have by passed this problem by swapping to on board graphics, nvidia latest drivers seem to have an issue with the game.

Thank you but unfortunately I have no on board card so I cannot swap. I am glad that the game works at least under win7 with my card.
MarkoH01,

I have tried installing the game on Windows 7 64 bit but there the problem is still that some of the graphic is still transparent, albeit not flickering.

Any advice?

some graphic drivers on some systems have either missing textures or flickering once you use the mouse control,
there is no fix other then use another pc or driver. But the good news is a updated overseer is in the works which is fan made so looking forward to this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6wEKRJTyHU
The fan remake project is indeed excellent news.

I have managed to solve my problem for both the Windows 7 64 bit run AND the Windows XP 32 bit run and I can help (I think) if the user can count on an Intel Integrated GPU to use with the game.

I start with the latter, which is my current platform of choice:

Window XP 32 bit:

1) Uninstall CCCP Codec pack because it causes a crash just after the game is started
2) Use the integrated Intel HD graphic (iGPU) instead of discrete graphic - the latest Intel drivers work fine

WINDOWS 7 64 bit:

1) Use the integrated HD graphic (iGPU) instead of discrete graphic but do NOT use the latest driver because it'd still result in the transparency issues with graphic - use the 2011 (8.15.10.2752) driver instead!
