so clicking on the mods installer crashes my computer, even righting does it......um help?

Just come back to this awesome game after a few years. I previously had Co8 8.01 modpack installed and delighted to find a new most recent modpack 8.1 available. But couldn't install modpack 8.1 onto existing TofEE installation.
Uninstalled and deleted entire game & reinstalled from GOG version, then installed modpack 8.1 over the top. Just confirming that GOG version already includes Atari patch 1 and Atari patch 2, so all you need to do is install GOG version and then modpack 8.1 over the top of that? Cheers
