As soon as I run the latest SS2Tool, Ver. 5, I am no longer able to run the game... I click the SShock2.exe file and it doesn't do anything. though it ran just fine before.


EDIT: ok, I just read some of the previous posts. ignore me....

It sorta does, just not in the message number that Voodoo linked. Go up to the second post in the thread, Kolya talks about being on vacation and not having a release BEFORE next week. So it could be today, or next week. I'm sure he'll get to it when he can.

This is a hotfix for v2.41 to fix broken multi-monitor support (which was made worse by the multi-
GPU and display fix in v2.41) and a pair of minor glitches. Otherwise this is identical to v2.41.
guess this will push back ss2tool 5.1 a bit (some minimal testing will be necessary). for all those who cannot wait, extract contrib.zip and shock2.exe to your SS2 folder after using the tool. if you haven't used the tool and don't plan to, you can use the full package.

Great to see all the enthusiasm for this all time great and has been many years since I've played it, (have original boxed version) and now that this new patch has surfaced, voodoo47, can you tell us what, exactly, are must haves, that we need to download and install, and in what order?

Also, meant to say, even though I have a boxed version, I just bought and installed the GOG version.................guess it never hurts to have too many copies of SS2 !

So I just got System shock 2 and some mods but I'm not sure how to put the mods into the game, the Mods I've got are in Winrar zip files so I'm a tad bit confused... I've tried following the information but to no avail... any help? The one I want to add is just a render I guess... they are compatable with the GOG version as well.
