I was wanting to buy Syberia. But I´m not sure if its worth it or not at the current price tag. First of all I´m more of a Strategy-RTS and First Person shooter guy. But I´ve played my share of Point´n click adventure games such as Grim Fandango and The Secret of The Monkey Island(Which I felt was too short). I was wondering if this game is really great or is just another game that is over-hyped and overpraised, due to people having nostalgia from remembering their childhood when playing this game, thus as a consequence overestimating the game qualities.

Can anyone give me an honest opinion if Its worth buying at the current price tag or no? My main concern is getting into an adventure game that ends up with a not so great story, gameplay and bad puzzles to keep the player busy.

Did you end up buying it? I'm sorry I didn't see your post at the time, but should you ever see the game on sale again, the it's definitely worth picking up. I bought and played this game when I found GOG, so had no nostalgia associated with the purchase. It's still a really good game, with a story that I found absolutely beautiful. Some people are put off by some elements of the story (such as her apparently pointless phone calls), and there's a bit of pixel hunting for a few puzzles, but for me this is not enough to detract from it.
