I already tried this->LINK, and I had no problems seeing the first cylinder, but now, my train is in the city with the aviary in the train station, and when I try to see a new voice cylinder I found, the game crashes. Any help would be appreciated.

You're sure you renamed the 3 files in question ? Have you double checked if they have the correct names ?

Is there a message error when the game crashes, or can you take a look at the debug.log file - the file should be in the game folder ?

Sorry Namur!
Didn't had any problems this time (Finished Syberia 1 & 2 recently). Different computer and OS (Maybe they were to blame).

No worries ;)

GOG fixed that problem with the voice cylinders with a new installer a while after the problem came up, that's likely why you didn't had the issue anymore.

Not solved for me. At this point the game stops. I've reloaded/rebooted 3 times; still just stops.

Please help..... I am 54, I do not understand all this talk about downloading a fix, and renaming files..... My game freezes at the voice cylinder. do not understand how to fix it...... if I can not figure this out, I want a refund.

I did try to follow what the fix says to do..... but my files are ALREADY named what they say change the name to.

I do NOT understand...... please help

Same problem. Always crashes when I put the voice cylinder in. Major bummer.

OK, I fixed it.

Go to your C:\(wherever it is)\Syberia\Video folder.

Create a new sub-folder called "AN".

Copy (click and drag) the file called C2_HansAnnaB.syb to your new folder.

That's all. The other thread mentions this might have to be done with other videos as well... I'll find out when I get there!

Awesome! Glad it worked. I haven't found any other videos with the same problem yet, but we'll see what happens.

Thanks for your answer by the way. Interestingly enough, this fixes the in-game video for me (will the first voice cylinder anyhow - haven't gotten to the others yet) but not the one in the Cutscene tab on the main screen. But hey, it's the one in game that's needed for story progression so I guess that's all that really matters. I've played Syberia plenty of times before, but this was the first time I'd played it in English. Never had any issues with the French installer. I was so confused. Thanks :)

My Game crashes when I insert the first voice cylinder into the player. I have moved the C2_hansannaB.syb file into a new folder entitled AN which was suggested in a previous post but this has not fixed the issue for me. Please help!!!

Did you create the AN folder in the proper place, i.e. inside the Syberia\Video folder? Try copying all of the .syb files into that folder. (I see elsewhere that the C2, C5 and C10 files are the ones that need to be copied - and you'll need all of them, sooner or later.)

In my installation (italian version), the mentioned files need rename after copy in AN folder from ITC2, ITC5, ITC10 to C2, C5 C10
