Hi

I have the base game and love it (even if I spend most of my time dying!). I want to add some dlc to it for more characters, items etc, but I am confused on requirements as to what other packs I need run each one. Please note, I am currently on morphine so the answer may be in front of me, but I'd appreciate it if someone would spell it out. strangely i find games like this much easier than the instructions on GOG over this! i think i process images better than words when it pain or something.

I can only afford some of the DLC, and i don't want to buy something and find i can use it without buying another pack

so i guess my questions are
what order do i need to buy packs in (and which are the best options for what i want)
is there an all in one download with everything included? i'd consider buying this even if it meant i bought the base again
i saw on google the game is offered elsewhere, can i mix and match where i get games from.

thank you for your time and patience. here's hoping they come up in the sale!
Laura

If you have just the base game, you'll want to work your way up to the Gold Edition. This means first getting , and then getting the [url=https://www.gog.com/game/sword_of_the_stars_the_pit_gold_edition_upgrade]Gold Edition Upgrade. The Gold Edition is needed for all other DLC.

Unfortunately not with all of the DLC. However, there is the Gold Edition, which includes the base game and two DLC mentioned above. Getting that would cost more for you, but it would simplify installation.

I'd say that's risky. These DLC are already kind of finicky to install. Best to get them all in one place, whether here or elsewhere.

Hope this helps and hope they come up in the sale!

Thank you for your in depth response. Hopefully they will come up in the sale
I think I will try to get mindgames and gold upgrade seperately due to the pricing, unless you think I'll struggle to add the expansions separately?

You should be fine installing the expansions, just be sure the base game is updated (if needed) and then install Mindgames and the Gold Edition Upgrade (in that order).
