Hi all,

I'm copying this post I made from Swat 3 reunited.

Me and my friend installed all the fixes, files, Last Resort, everything from the site, followed to instructions, got Tunngle working (finally). The only problem now, same problem I had a year or 2 ago when we tried the same thing, is that the data files differ, or whatever that message is when the game is red. I know it isn't a mod, we enabled all the same mods down the list, and tried it with no mods enabled, plus no mod shows up as red. I'm wondering if it's because we both used the same download and same no-CD crack shown in the installation instructions, so the game has built in security to not allow people with the same CD-key to play together? I do own 2 copies of SWAT 3 (although one I think I loaned to a friend years ago and never got it back and the other is god knows where), so I could potentially install my game with a separate CD-key, and there's always buying it on GoG.com or something. However if it doesn't have to come to that, I'd like some information if anyone has gotten it working with a friend where you both followed the installation instructions. I can't find any posts like this anywhere else on the forums so I figured I'd make one.

Since both game are working on their own, it shouldn't matter but I'm running Windows 7 and he's running Windows 8.1.

Thanks all,
TrIggA

If anyone could shed some light on this, I'd be really thankful!

Sorry for the late reply. I wonder if you and your friend have two different language versions?

I don't think it mattered but wild stab in the dark?

I had this same problem. I fixed it by dragging every file called 'unins000' into a different folder, having my friend do the same, and then we could play. Not sure why those files cause those problems, but hope this helps.

This I believe was the correct solution when I had issues like this as well. Also make sure your missions folder and mods folders match, also ensure you have the same mods turned on with both ends.
