So this game originally came out spaced on 4 cds.

As a result, there's files on each disc with the same name that obviously have different packs of data. (Resoure.aud, resource.sfx, .etc)

Right now, there seems to be a nasty glitch in the game where the variations of missions never activate.

The first mission is Lucy Long, rear containment, but you SHOULD eventually get a call-up that allows you to enter the house.

The warehouse missions starts with the M16, but you should eventually be allowed to enter as an assaulter and enter the basement.

I've never seen either case show up in the GOG or Steam versions. To make matters worse, sometiems the game will crash trying to load the Lucy Long mission, so perhaps it is a case of missing files.

Someone that knows data patching might want to look into the original cd-rom structure of the files and see what's going on, and if it can be fixed. That's almost half of the game no one will ever be able to play.

I don't know if you have heard of ScummVM but SWAT 1 is supported by it. ScummVM reimplements engines so its possible those bugs you speak of don't occur with ScummVM but I don't know personally.
