Been playing the game just fine but the last patch has made the game unplayable. It now thinks my "local" files are corrupted (they arent)

Ive completely removed the game and ALL its files from my system but when i reinstall it the install fails because the files im getting from GOG are now corrupted. Ive tried reinstalling it the same way i first installed it, ive tried installing it to different drives/locations, ive tired the offline back up ive tried the GOG "fixes" its not possible to repair the files since it never installs and the fire wall is fine.

Ive beaten the game and collected everything but it was still fun to jump in and waste hordes of guys from time to time and kinda BS to be out the money for a game that will no longer install.


EDIT: After a massive amount of screwing around with virtually everything possible and taking literally all day i finally got it working right again

what did you do to fix it?

I had the same error and my solution was:

format C:\
