xxxIndyxxx: Ah yes but here's the thing: I actually have the disk version....Heresy!

Boilpoint: The 5 disk version?

I think you can find them all on filefont, and the downloads still work. Just google them. For instance:

http://knightsoftheoldrepublic.filefront.com/file/TSL_Patch_US_Version;41126
My version has 4 disks...? Installed without issue and launches too so I guess I am not missing a disk. Got me worried for a second.

tinyE: Yeah so do I, and I got sick of all of those discs so I went with GOG the day it came out. :P Anyway I guess Google is your best option.

I will say the packaging is cool (though KOTOR 1 had a way cool binder manual) and all five disc are beautifully decorated with the major characters. Maybe I'll make a KOTOR mobile with them.
Two years ago I would have rebought it without thinking but since i have been unemployed for over a year and the wife wants a baby: every dollar (euro) counts...

Found the patches (I was just checking if they were all conveniently at the same place because I was doing other stuff while downloading)

Ha, it's been a while since I installed from the discs, maybe it was 4 :)
Everything works flawlessly. I have the disk version though but I updated with the official patches, installed the high quality files, installed the restored content mod and the add-on mod. Just played the prologue without a hitch.

I am guessing there is no easy way to get the game running perfectly in 1920-1080 resolution?

There is. Just check the sticky in this sub-forum.

Hassat_Hunter: So, just got the mail TSL is on GOG... congrats everyone.

Considering there have probably be changes compared to the DVD/Steam version, anyone possessing it can tell us what those are?
As is TSLRCM should most likely be compatible, but I would like it confirmed by users.

NOTE that I however do NOT suggest massively getting TSLRCM now, an update is in the works which will be released SHORTLY fixing the following items. Especially the vanilla-issue of swoop racing fixed should releave many players I assume.:

* Additional restored lines for Kreia-Atris cutscene.
* Modified Mebla slightly; you can play again after 'asking questions' but you can no longer ask questions after getting her tie breaker.
* Telos Swoopracing;
Traininglap persuasioncheck no longer automatically succeeds.
Fixed trainingrun-dialogue not being properly triggered.
Fixed several issues with 'improved' or 'deproved' time recognition.
* Fixed Lupo not giving credits properly after teammates comment on your Force Persuasion use (my bad).
* HK-50's will no longer appear and then fade away if HK-47 is in your party when going to Goto's Yacht (Thanks Markus Ramikin)
* Losing to Bralor, then winning he would still incorrectly comment you can fight again (Thanks Markus Ramikin)
* Persuading Qimtiq once does no longer guarantee 500 bonus credits per win permanently, you need to re-convince him before each race.
* Missing VO addded to installer.
* Fixed the "forfeit" Swooprace-bug.
* Added proper camerapoints to modified tutorial dialogues.
* Improved Azkul-Merc conversation after invading Khoonda (Merc side) (by danil-ch)
* You will now start with Force Breath active upon learning it in the JJT/fixed flourish animation (by danil-ch)
* Savegames made during the Atton vs. Sion confrontation on Malachor will no longer crash on loading.
* Added missing lightsaber equipped fix (by danil-ch) that made the game also check the off-hand for a lightsaber and detect it.
* Modified Mira technique teaching slightly.

Looking forward to hearing from all of you!
-Hassat Hunter and the rest of the TSLRCM team.
Hi Hassat, i would first like to thank you and your team for this restoration Mod. Great job.
I just have a question about the installation of TSLRCM:
I installed TSLRCM v1.8.3 a few days ago with the M478EP11 (v1.1) mod, now i see you have v1.8.3b and v1.1b on your website, i downloaded both these new files since i did not see a patch from v1.8.3 to v1.8.3b.
1. Now, should i first uninstall both mods and then reinstall them again?
2. Or can i just install the mods again (basically over the previous version)?
3. Or should i uninstall the mods and the game and reinstall everything again?
4. How do i know v1.8.3b is installed because the main menu still says v1.8.3 even after installing the new version.
5. Also is v1.8.3b supposed to fix the swoop racing on Telos where your swoop is just hanging in the air? Because if so then it did NOT fix it. My swoop racer still hanging in the air even with v1.8.3b.

Does anyone know how to fix the damn swoop racing where swoop is hanging in the air?

Thanks
1/2/3. Depends on mods. If only ours then yes, you can install the updates right over, no re-install required.
4. The main menu doesn't change. The easiest check is probably launching the tutorial (with T3) and check for the fixed camera-standpoints.
5. Again-
That's already fixed in the GOG-version by default, unless you replaced the .exe, which you shouldn't...

Hi Hassat, wow thank for quick reply.

No i have not changed exe at all.

I bought and installed GOG version.
No other mods installed.
Only your TSLRCM v1.8.3 installed
Then M478EP11 installed
Then v1.8.3b installed over v1.8.3
Then M478EP11b installed over v1.1

Thats it, no other mods, no other exe, just standard GOG version with your mods.

But the swoop still goes up in the air and stays there, cannot win race because i cannot go thru the speed places.
There is another person also having the same problem on GOG version in the GOG forums.

I know its not your mod causing this because people have been complaining about this bug since launch of game around 2005 (according to internet searches).

But i definitely have this problem with GOG version.

Thanks again for such a quick response, love your mods.

I forgot to add:

My swkotor2.exe is GOG file, 4.36MB, ver 2.1.0.0, Date modified is 2014/05/19 15:45

No changes on this exe, no other mods used except yours.

I have a weird bug in TSLRCM. Holographic elements aren't showing. It's like ehh.. well, when you watch some holo recordings, characters are displayed normal, like they just stand here with you, not like half-invisible blue colored normal recording. Also, the door after which Atton is located on Peragus, it's supposed to be shielded, that can be seen visually, that also isn't displayed. I'm curious has anyone else experienced this? I had this bug before in steam version with earlier versions of TSLRCM, it's nothing game breaking, but kinda decreases the atmosphere. My best guess is to blame Intel video card.
P.S. Sorry for bad English.

I encountered a few bugs on my playthrough as well, but since I'm playing the game on Linux, I thought they occurred because of that.
I also had the bug where your swoop bike hangs in the air and you cannot do anything besides restarting, but only once.
@ Raproerk; You have Frame Buffer Effects disabled. Turn it on, and everything is as you expect it to be (unless the game crashes then of course).

@ Others;
I have seen it many times using the vanilla game with my disk, never again after going to 1.0b, and I've done a LOT of runs by now...
I'll give swoopracing a few more tries on the GOG though...

That's odd, I turned it on, and nothing changed, also have turned on Vertex Buffer Objects, still nothing changed. Oh well, the game is playable, that's all that matters =)
Most intel inboard graphic cards don't support Frame Buffer Effects, though it would be odd then if you had them enabled on the same PC before.
Is it still enabled in the options, a 1 after it in the swkotor2.ini?

lol, i'm an idiot, yeah they aren't enabled in options, I just tried to turn them on by editing .ini file, apparently it didn't work.
I had to disable Frame Buffer Effects, in order to play the game on Linux with Wine.
Perhaps that's the cause of the one-time-occurrence I've experienced.
