TSLRCM installed and a couple of cosmetic mods for the clothing textures.

Using the actual several years old game disk. severely light sided jedi jesus watchman, only Bao Dur not 'recruited'.

Serial crashes on Malachor V. ran the entire game fine but just wont let me finish. First time it happened after Atton's fabulous parking job. Had the ultimate weapon mod so uninstalled that in hopes it was the problem.

I had to play the entire game over.

This playthrough, i got to the area in the academy where you go up the two side hallways in semicircle and kill but before the final showdown.

I cannot progress. Does anyone know a way to go past this point and finish the game? At the point now where i am thinking of just running a YouTube video to see the end.

ok several hours of scouring the web and i still don't have any answers or fixes.

Tried separately:
disabling v-sink
disabling AA
altering . ini for windowed mode and lowering resolution
backing to another save several saves previous

I found if i get to that certain point at the top of the spiral arms of the compound there is a male and female target in the room. killing the male is fine, killing the female causes the game to create a crash. " swkotor has stopped working..."
The same happens just before the room with craggy face-used to be apprentice guy-whose name i cannot seem to remember.

I attempted to just spam pots and run doors until i get to a load screen in hopes that it was section related, but it does not matter who i try to kill next, it makes the same stop working error/ freeze.

Kinda not sure what to try next
not looking forward to a clean install and starting yet again

I don't know a technical solution to your issue, but is it possible to kill just the male and run past the female, preventing the crash?

You seem to have tried a lot of possible fixes already, if there are any left you haven't tried yet, you should obviously do that.
TSLRCM is installed as well, hm...

It could be an issue related to your version of the game. You could try the DRM-free and optimized version from GOG, right? Though you'd have to spend 10$ for that, obviously.

i did think maybe of trying the GOG version, but as i understand, that is for the uber monster rigs out there and i am pretty sure i do not qualify as that. I dont need 1080p because i have the old 3x4 monitor. But if anyone knows if the GOG version would be alright for an aging used to be pretty good two or three years ago computer, please let me know and i would not mind plonking down another tenner for the game- Love GOG and never feel like it is a bad investment.

It runs fine on my old core 2, Vista rig, so yours should be fine. Just be mindful of the settings, and don't over tax it.

GOG optimized the games for modern operating systems, but that doesn't mean they won't run on old hardware.
The KotOR games are ten years old, you'll be able to run them on a potato.

I have a friend who has an i3 with onboard graphics and we tried everything to get that thing to work on his setup but to no avail.

If you have tried everything else, you could try starting the game with the executable found here.
Make sure to backup your original file though, and see this as a very last try.

gonna try clearing that little Telos fuel problem and backing up ten saves , three before the enclave, and see if there was something i did that didn't let me keep going, as in a game breaking brain fart or something.

I still suspect it has something to do with one of the mods i don't know about- since my son was nice enough to include a couple i didn't know were there, like the HK mod and something else i cannot remember.

If all else fails, i know i can try the GOG version after three days of downloading . or i can try that exe you mentioned. Should have some kind of result by next sunday i hope.

Have you tried the forum where you got TSLRCM? Some pretty smart guys hang out there. They will want to know the exact set of mods you installed.
