is there any other way to troubleshoot your character locking up after combat ends? its only the movement keys not working since, if theres an interactive object near enough by, clicking it will make him move there automatically. but using the movement keys does nothing.

i saw the other thread where everyone fixed it by toggling their vsync setting but thats not working here. having to save and reload after every single combat is EXTREMELY tedious...

running the last GOG update and the cut content restoration mod. this movement locking up was an issue before installing the restored content mod as well.
looking through some other threads i see people saying that its a problem with the framerate, is that correct? is there a way to put a limit on that?
ive found a slightly less tedious workaround instead of quicksave/load - flourish weapon.

UnrelatedComa: ive found a slightly less tedious workaround instead of quicksave/load - spamming the "end combat" key. although sometimes even that doesnt work so using the "flourish weapon" key and then the "end combat" key after will get it.

since i was able to play a bit more, i noticed the animation for the spacesuit is weirdly fast so i think the people talking about the framerate issue were correct. how does one go about putting a cap on that? im playing on a laptop with an integrated intel graphics card but the program to handle its settings doesnt detect any of my installed games. is there a different way i can limit the frame rate of kotor2?
This link will tell you how to do it if you have an n-vidia graphics card

https://www.howtogeek.com/509097/how-to-set-a-maximum-frame-rate-in-nvidias-drivers/#:~:text=Click%20the%20%E2%80%9CProgram%20Settings%E2%80%9D%20tab%20at%20the%20top,option%2C%20click%20it%2C%20and%20select%20your%20desired%20setting.

Basically
1) right click on your desktop
2) choose nvidia control panel
3) Click on the tab program settings
4) select the program you want to change the settings
5) scroll down features until you see max frame rate
6) Choose the max frame rate you want!

I had a bug one time where I couldn't move my character once. I think I fixed it by switching player control away from my main character, and onto my squadmates, I think... not sure why that would help but I think that was my solution.

Somehow my character had gotten trapped inside a wall or something. (in KOTOR 2)
