Do you have an Nvidia graphics card?
These aren't working as they're supposed to.

I installed the patch and followed the instructions, but with the graphic patches installed there is noticeable input & display lag.

With the mods installed, the textures are all wrong (someone mentioned this issue in an earlier posting, complete with screenshots) and if you try using the mods without the graphic patches, the levels fail to load (I was experimenting to figure out how I could possibly use the mods without the graphic patches because of the lag issue).

Try this:

All of the problem I had with Jedi Knight disappeared when I added JK.dll from jkdf2.net/JKBot/JKArchive/JKDF2/Game%20Files/tools/PATCH/jkultimate15.zip.

When I downloaded that file the first time, I initially unzipped the entire contents of the file to my JK folder so whatever issue that user was having didn't apply to my particular problem.
Ah, sorry ... I don't have any other ideas. Just a last question: do you have an nVidia graphic card?

ATI actually. 7800 or something like that.

Interesting. Because I was reading, that nVidia users have mostly problems. Don't know then ...

It's mostly stable if I access the menu while looking in a corner with no current lighting changes. I was wondering if the mods might take away some of that instability.
No, the mods won't change anything ... I mean, because of the mods the game wont be more stable :)

But rather you can get more crashes because of the modification. However that is also not true, because I am playing constantly everyday and I am further and further in tha game and didn't have a single crash yet (knock, knock for luck!)

I had this issue. Are you loading a saved game or starting a new game when you install the mods?

When I tried loading a saved game, I had that issue, but once I started a new game, the texture issues were gone. Hope this helps.
Hi,
thanks for the instructions.
I have a problem however: the game won't load - neither saved games nor a new game will work anymore. Error message: "Error: Could not load level!"

What I did:

1. In a fresh installation of the game, I created a folder "MOD" in JK-folder.
2. I put "JKE.gob", "GSX.gob" and "JKR.gob" into "MOD"
3. I created shortcut to "JK.exe" - added ending -path MOD

The game starts properly, if I only put "GSX.gob" into the folder, both other mods lead to the "Error: Could not load level!"-issue while loading the level.

Can you help me?

Thanks!

Copy jke.gob to "Mod" and jkr.gob to "Resource". I think that did the trick for me. The textures seem to be improved by comparing screen shots. jkr.gob in "Mod" crashes the game in my case.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I've tried it, but still the same problem. If I keep jke.gob in the Mod-folder, it cannot load the level. :(

Did you copy the DLL and conf files from jkultimate15.zip into the main JK directory?
