Yeah, we have come to the point of ridiculousness in reality. I am an old school gamer too. And screw the old waits we had to. The DLC has been out for over a week. I mean, GoG is losing sales. I mean, even I am thinking of finding it on sale and getting it on Steam....
AFAIK Steam let you publish directly whereas GOG have a QA/approval process to get past.

Perhaps some issues were discovered during that process which have led to this delay? The version we eventually get will hopefully be more robust, so perhaps it's worth the wait.
Can someone let me know if GOG has been sitting on the Skyshine’s BEDLAM Redux! release for over a week, because otherwise I've just shifted from "annoyed" to "slightly pissed"...

I bet my lack of any betting money that they weren't.

I am going to take "Highly Doubtful" for 100 Alex!
So I decided to post a thread on steam inquiring about the delay (Rather, if they knew why) along with 2.0.1 update info. The link contains the developer response.

They have no idea why the DLC is taking so long.
There is no 2.0.1 "update". Apparently they've been pushing small incremental updates. GOG hates these so they wait for a particularly stable one.

So the devs don't even know what is up? Wow GoG....

They could have maybe made these small updates available through the in game updater. Well maybe the stable update will come with the dlc which I guess won't be done very soon.
Really being trolled with this release.
nothing today either, it seems. i guess i'll see you again when i get bored of stellaris...

Yeah, that comes soon. I have it pre-ordered myself.
Yeah, just wanted to let GoG know my disappointment in how they are handling this release. I've also been waiting for the expansion to get back into Star Ruler 2. Am starting to regret I got it on GoG instead of Steam, even though I like buying from GoG when I can.
Totally agree
That's nothing, there are games that are 15 months late for their updates :

Sword of the Stars : The Pit has not yet been updated :
- to the 1.5.5 patch from February 2015.
- with the latest expansion "The Healer", released in March 2016.

As well as other games :

I'd guess that the delay is because the devs are working with GoG for Galaxy support for updates and expansions :

GOG has not in any way delayed the current updates and DLC for The Pit. We have been working with GOG for the last few weeks to get The Pit updated for users and it should be live shortly. We, as in Kerberos, could have worked to get it up a little sooner (not a lot sooner) except we made the decision to add GOG's Galaxy API to the game, meaning it will now unlock achievements to your GOG profile like Steam does.

Getting mad at GOG, even if they carried any blame, accomplishes nothing. It actual slows things down.

SO, we appreciate everyone's passion in the matter and doubly appreciate everyone's patience. You will all have the latest code and DLC in no time at all.

thank you,

c

Did you just read 2 posts and decide you knew enough?
