Hello,
I have a little problem with Sanitarium, as I am not able to play it. Like described in the title, the game starts with DxWnd but it doesn't work and the game tries to go fullscreen. Like almost all games with non-native resolution on a non-DVI monitor, the screen just blinks a few times and the game just minimizes.
I tried disabling DxWnd and trying to run it fullscreen on both 16:10 and 4:3 monitors and it didn't work either. I didn't try to touch any other parameters in the DxWnd.ini.
System specs:
Vista 64Bit
Intel E8400 @3,33GHz
GeForce 9800GT
4Gb RAM
Additional specs and information available on request. I hope we get this solved somehow pretty soon.
Cheers,
IH

Solution: Use D3DWindower
This is exactly what is happening to me. Any news about this?
Try to use D3DWindower instead of DxWnd.

Using it is pretty simple:
1. Copy the D3dHook.dll to the game's .exe folder. In this case it's the Sanitarium folder.
2. Launch D3DWindwer-English.exe
3. Add the game executable to the list, press the "+" button and find your Sanitarum folder. Select Sntrm.exe.
4. Doubleclick sntrm in D3DWindower to launch the game.

Haven't found any other solution but this worked for me and I managed to even stream the game with it :)
