KingOfDust: Well in SR4 film grain is part of the gameplay options, and the gameplay options in GooH save just fine on my end. They're probably saved in the same file as the user-defined keybindings so my guess is if one works, the other does too.
So we're back to the theory that SR4 saving is broken and GooH is not. Which is the same that I experienced.
Yeah, Film Grain is a SR4 thing. Didn't have access to GooH when I typed my reply earlier. Show Subtitles isn't saving and neither is Invert Flight Up/Down. Keybindings save fine though. I'm wondering, do any of you with working saves have ever had it installed in Steam on that PC? Or do you have Galaxy installed?
Gat out of Hell doesn't remember bindings. I had the Steam version of SR4 installed a couple years back.

Invert Flight is saving fine in GooH for me (with and without Galaxy). However this is the only Saints Row game I never owned om steam therefore I have never installed it. Maybe there are some steam registry keys that needs to be deleted before the GOG version is working? And since I DID install SR4 once I will also try to see if it might help to delete registry settings here.

Edit: Nope, could not finmd any leftover keys from the DR4 Steam version - but still it is not running.
@tremere110 and @Sabin_Stargem: What OS are you using? I am using Win7 64bit.

Edit2: I just changed Flight invert to "no" and attached the savefile here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B45YJj6bhfxaSWVRWk5SQ0xPQ1E/view?usp=sharing

If you want you can put it in the game directory and see if the setting is changed - maybe the game is also able to save settings now that the file is in the game directory. Worth a try.

So the problem does not seem to be the OS. Is the GOG version the first version of GooH or have you already installed another version of the game prior to the GOG version? Also did you try the savefile I attached? If you change something in keybindings is the file srgDEF_PROFILE created in the game folder?

This has bitten me as well in SR4. Haven't tried in GOOH yet. Never had Steam versions installed; gave up on Steam years ago. I'm keeping an eye on this thread in case there's any information I can provide, but for the time being I'm replaying SR2 & 3 to work up to 4. :-)

Never had GooH before. Only the Steam version of SR3 and SR4 were previously played on this machine. I don't see srgDEF in the game folder.

So it seems at least for you and some others that GooH is doing the same that SR4 is doing on my and other machines. It does not create the config file at all and therefore is not able to save in it. One last question: could you please copy the config file I attached here, insert it in your game directory, start the game and see if inverted flight control is turned to "no"? Also it would be helpful of having this is you game folder would fix the problem of not saving. At the moment we know for sure that the config file is not created at all - but maybe it would be used if it was there?

To be clear, the location you want the file is "Saints Row - Gat Out of Hell\_saves"? I dropped the file there and also in the top folder, to no effect.

No, not the save folder the normal game folder "Saints Row - Gat Out of Hell". What is the initial setting for imvert flight after you have dropped the file in the game folder and startet it? If it still is turned to "yes" then the game does not even read from the config file.

As I said, to no effect. It is still set to "yes" before and after.

That is really unfortunate. I really wonder why this is working fine for me but not for you as we are using the exact same OS. It might have been a third party software like anti virus scanner which could have prevented the file to be created but that would not explain why it is not even accessed in your case. At the moment I am out opf options but I will post again if I should find out anything new. Thank you for your participation in trying this out.

GOG, it cant be so difficult! Please fix this.
We going to get a reply on this matter GOG?

Its been a few days since there were released and you can't even
reply if its being looked at, reminds me of saints row 2 and that supposed "fix" that did absolutely nothing.
