Hello all,
So i downloaded Sacrifice like last week, i played through the tutorial for a while and now when i go to launch the game it tells me no Direct D3D devices found and crashes to desktop. Anyone know what this could be from?
thanks in advance.

It means exactly what it says - Your D3D system is not working, or, you just don't have one. What it is is a device which lets you play games on your computer...i think. I'm afraid thats all i can say, because i don't know how to fix 'em...soz lol

Please send this problem to tech support wit your dxdiag.
I know this is an old thread but if you found a solution to this problem please post it. I'm having the exact same problem and haven't been able to get any help from the community or gog.com support yet.

At what point exactly does the game crash? Does it make it as far as the menu?
It crashes just as the startup window is opening. I never make it as far as the menu.

What OS do you use? And do you have all the latest graphic card drivers installed?
Vista. And all my drivers should be up to date.
"Should"... Shouldn't you check?:P

Did you check your drivers?
The drivers are all up to date

This is strange... Usually people with Win7 have problems, the game is supposed to work better on XP and Vista...

Have you tried to contact tech support?

Namur suggested you reinstall DirectX9.

Also, what specs do you have?
I contacted tech support a few days ago and have heard no response.

I have an Nvidia GeForce 8600M GT.

How does one re install directx? Every time I attempt to do so it tells me directx has already been installed and no modification is necessary.

If it asks if you want to overwrite what is already there, click yes and continue until it says it has installed."
