The newer version has constant problems, including translation, combat errors or annoying sound bug that changes volume game to 20% in Windows settings on each launch.
I don't want to deal with these problems anymore, can I download older installer version or any option to downgrade the game or rollback to pre-patched version?

There is a way to download the older version offline installers. First you need to go to your gog account then find the risen game and change the language to Deutsch (Or spanish , french etc. all should be the same except the english version which is the new one) (See attached picture)
Then after installing the game open the file ConfigDefault.xml located in Risen\data\ini
and change the following settings
SubtitleLanguage="English"
VoiceLanguage="English"

The only problem with this is that the intro video will not be in English but other than that everything else should be fine.

I didn't realize that the german installers were still the before console version.
Thanks for the info as i also understand german that is a way how i can play Risen 1 someday jus downloaded the german installers.
Also did Risen 1 even get any patches before the console patch? Because i have an old english installer since 2017 and don't know if there were any extra patches after that before the console patch version came out.
