I know this is a rogue, and once you are dead it's back to the beginning. But can I save at any point in the game and continue later?

Yeah, having an exit save would be nice.

Hi!

dont know if you tried this before, but if you exit the game, a new "continue" button should appear. It's always there after you are back in the workshop. Other than that - It will throw you in your latest level you haven't finished playing(from the start though.

Best Regards,
Jakub

Yeah. I played through a couple levels last night. When I played again today, there was no continue option and all the filters (CRT, Noise, etc) were reset back to default. I want to like this game, but If I'm going to have to redo everything each time I want to play, then I'm not even going to bother. I'll just consider it $12 in the trash.

Unfortunately I made a new topic asking about this but it seems to be a bug based off your reply here. I exited the game in the middle of a level to go to bed and restarted with no continue button, my inventory and upgrades are gone, and I can only resume the game from the single stage menu.

FWIW: I think I exited by alt+f4ing last night.

I'll take a look into this issue.

Update: IF you exited with Alt-F4, then the game was not able to save its state. Bummer :(

Hm, I don't know how the game should detect whether you "crash" it on purpose. I'll see what I can do.

Sure, I wouldn't expect it to save my most recent progress, but I wouldn't expect it to wipe it either.
same here. i spend time at first episode, all was good. then i started a fight with first boss, he defeated me twice and at third time menu "resume" was lost. after restarting game i can select different maps, but cant resume my sp game. it a pity bug, because i love this game, really interesting.

upd: i found solution - developer put save game to regedit, so, you can edit manually your level, mana, finished levels, etc. but important parametr for me was "SavedGame_h1899134926" - i set it to "1" (was "0") and can resume my game, finally this menu displays at game and i can play with my character.

upd: oh, seems, its not a bug, its a feature. player has "lifes" and i spend all my lifes at boss, thats why "resume" menu was gone.

Yes, but feel free to edit your registry to your needs. It's a singleplayer game afterall :)

your game is really great for me, mapdesign is interesting and user-friendly, pixel-art design is very good, some enemys is really fun, like the Carpenters "thing" at artica stage and boss, so, i will reccomend your game.

maybe, you need to write about "lifes" at some menu, because it wasnt very clear for me, as for gamer. it was simplier to open procmon and find what game reads, than understand life logic :)

Game over doesn't mean permadeath for every game. :P
You could just kick players back to the first level of the current set sith current progress lost. This feels really harsh for normal.
