I was interested in this until I saw that self-masturbatory promo email, reeking of narcissism. Was this seriously the best way to promote your game?

"Made by a dude born in 1999, with a unique perspective untainted by nostalgia."

I mean Jesus, how far up your own ass can you be? Maybe patting yourself on the back isn't the proper focus when promoting a game?

Also, aren't you a little young to proclaim such a massive feat as "deconstructing" the BEST games of an era that practically invented the genre? Yeah, I'm sure a single student with Unity is gonna do better than some of the most iconic gaming companies in history... Lol, get off your high horse. Just another imitator who thinks way too highly of himself.

Dude, lay off. It's hard enough getting recognition as an indie dev, and it's this guy's first rodeo. It's hard enough making a game all by yourself and marketing it perfectly.

Fine, you find the email patronising. You're allowed to. But do you think responding to a harmless email with an angsty forum post will help? There's room for two on that "high horse", apparently.

It's a newsletter created by GOG to sell the games in question. I'd invite you to stop attacking a clearly talented young man and the team he assembled around him. I say this as a fan of video games and supporter of talent.

As a moderator, I'd invite you not to attack users, as the developer of the game is an active user on the forum currently.

Given this thread serves as nothing more than a misguided attack with no discussion value, I'll be locking this.
