About 3 years ago I bought Timeshock and from what I understood it was already the Windows version. I haven't played it the last 2 years but would like to do it again. Therefore I downloaded it again and installed it on my Windows 8 Professional pc. Unfortunately it doesn't work. When I start the game from the desktop shortcut (the Timeshock.exe) it takes a while and then I get the desktop again with an error message saying error 88780096 and some strange text.

I tried all compatibilty modes with and without administrator but no success.

I can only start it in DOS with the Launch Timeshock.exe (the DOS one).

And something else: With one of the efforts I had suddenly lost a few other games on the same drive. Fortunately I could install these again, but I find this very strange.

What should I do to get it running ?Timeshock
