Since Prison Architect have the Paradox launcher when you click Play it opens the launcher and Galaxy immediately stop tracking the game.
That means you can't: track your played hours, sync the saves and unlock achievements.

The solution is to click Play as usual, launch the game and then alt+tab and click Play again from Galaxy.

Galaxy will recognize the game launched in the proper folder and will keep tracking the game with cloud saves and achievements.

Enjoy

Hello everyone.

I am also looking for a solution, Galaxy still doesn't count my played time.

Anyone else knows how to solve it?

Thanks everyone.

Apologies I took forever to respond!

In the current version of Galaxy you need to create a "Custom Executable", to run the game with.

1) Click on the game in your library, so you can see the "Play" button.

[Please note: this feature has been in Galaxy for a whille, but I'm running version 2.0.40.)

2) Next to "Play" is the menu button, the icon is two lines, one above each other. Click this.

3) Hover over "Manage installation" and click "Configure".

4) Scroll down to "Features" and tick "Custom executables / arguments", if it isn't already.

5) Either click "Duplicate" next to "File 1" or scroll to the bottom and click "Add another...".

6) Against the item you've just made: click on the file-path to "File 2" or "File 4", whichever the one you want to edit (you probaly can't edit the top / first 1).

7) Click "Select executable", and navigate to the Prison Architect folder.

[If you're not sure where this is: you're going to have to manually search your system for it. On my setup I have Galaxy get my games, so I know it's in folder inside the "Games" folder inside the "Galaxy" folder.]

8) Choose the "Prison Architect.exe" file and click "Open".

[If you know you're on x64 or "64-bit" hardware: choose "Prison Architect64.exe" instead. If you don't know what this means: choose the one above.]

9) Click "OK" to apply these settings; or to essentially "skip" the launcher every time: make this "File" the "Default executable", then click "OK".

[You can still view *the rest* of your Custom Executables via the two-lines icon, then hover over "Additional executables", the rest will appear in a list, click the one you want.]

10) Depending on what you did in step 9) you could just click "Play", and you should get straight to the game "demo" itself. Play for a few minutes, and Galaxy will attempt to note your gametime (and sync your Saves, depending on your settings) when you quit.

The end!

Please note: I've had to *re-apply* these steps after *every* update. It's super easy once you've done it a few times.

Please comment if this doesn't make sense. Please vote to show if it was helpful / awful.

NP.

There are no stupid questions, so don't feel stupid about asking for help!

If the OP would mark it as a solution, that would be great... ;)
