I noticed that after installing the widescreen mod that the game image had black bars on the top and bottom like the aspect ratio wasn't correct, though after changing a few GPU settings the game's aspect ratio was corrected. The black bars didn't happen with the old installer version of PS:T from what I remember and I noticed that the new 2.0 installer already had and applied the community ddraw fix. The new 2.0 installer of Baldur's Gate had the ddraw fix and the black bars problem as well.

Anyone think that either the ddraw fix or something with the 2.0 installers is causing this? It's not a problem for me as my GPU scaling can correct it, but I bring this up because others might not be able to use GPU scaling to correct it.
You can run setup-ddrawfix.exe (in your torment folder) and uninstall that mod,
then you would know for sure.

I have no problems here.

I guessing that the resolution you chose for the widescreen mod is not a resolution your monitor supports.

My monitor is 16:9 all the way up to 1920x1080 and it supports 1280x720 which is what I chose for the widescreen mod. I might try uninstalling the ddraw fix after I playthrough the game as i've already installed all the other patches and mods and don't really want to start over the installation. Neither BG or PS:T were having the black bars on top and bottom problem before on the old installers using the same settings. It probably is the ddraw fix, but I mainly just wanted others to be aware of this when installing, patching and modding the game.

I'd ask GOG support about it if I were you. They should be able to tell you what changed between the version 1.0 and 2.0 installers and if it does cause issues for some users they may be able to look into fixing it, but if you have your own fix then I'm sure they'll appreciate you sending them the info.
When WeiDU uninstalls ddrawfix it will automatically re-install all your other mods
So you would not lose anything ( other than the 2 minutes Ghostdog's UI mod takes to run )

also please post the steps you took in your "GPU" control panel to "SCALE" your screen.

What are we to take away from this post?
I'd ask GOG support about it if I were you.
...sighs...

Okay, I tried uninstalling the ddraw fix in Baldur's Gate and no change, it still doesn't scale properly unless I mess with my GPU settings.

As for the settings, all I did was set it to let the GPU do the scaling and check the box to override the scaling mode set by games and programs. (see attachment)

Edit: And GOG's reply system is having fits again as my reply is showing up as your quote instead. :/

Yeah, I sent them a support ticket telling them about my slight problem just in case there could be other problems that me or GOG are unaware of. I'm just wondering what could have changed with the 2.0 installer versions for this problem to start happening.
