After buying the game I'm greeted with the selection screen where I have to choose graphics setup and so on. Basically I'm just wondering why the game is setup to run in EGA mode as a default? Graphically it doesn't make that much of a difference. But if you choose tandy graphics you get tandy sound as well which is miles better than the PC speaker you are stuck with in EGA mode...

Hmmm, I think I found out why... The colors are quite screwed up in tandy mode once in the map screen... I surely don't hope it looked like that on a real tandy :-)

If you use Tandy or PCjr settings on a game with DOSbox you need to set the game's dosbox config to Tandy or PCjr for what graphic set it will emulate. you find this under machine=

Someone posted a fix with better audio. No one replied to it.
you can try dosbox staging, works nice music better. machine=tandy
