My question is this: If I buy the Definitive Edition of Pillars of Eternity, which is bundled with The White March expansion and some bonus DLC, do I have the option of choosing which content to install? For example, do I still have the option of installing "vanilla" PoE - or does all the content get installed at once and automatically?

Anyone have experience with this game bundle?

On Linux both parts of the expansion use distinct installers, you don’t have to install them if you want to enjoy the vanilla game on your first playthrough. (same for the smaller DLCs)
I didn’t check, but I would surprised if it is not the same on Windows.

Why would you want to though? White March is just an additional area on the game's worldmap. If you don't want to play WM yet, you can just not go there. Other than that, its content is meant to be enjoyed during the events of the main story.

I can understand wanting to play without the additional content if one is planning multiple playthroughs, it helps keeping the experience fresh for the second playthrough with the additional content included.

By the way, that’s how I plan to play Pillars of Eternity. The game is already complete enough without the expansion to have an interesting vanilla playthrough. Plus it helps fully enjoying the additions of the expansion in the second playthrough.
