This is just sad. Agree with his views or not, a mob doing their best to destroy his life just because of his opinions on GamerGate is just wrong.

Obsidian should have taken him to one side, face-to-face, and properly determined what this was all about. To simply accept a resignation from somebody based on hateful allegations thrown around on forums, from scumbags, of something said years ago smacks of, "Yeah, get gone... we want nothing to do with this". Bloody cowards.

The whole GamerGate boogyman got shot to bits last year when the FBI released their GamerGate files. So him being critical about The Great Anita and Zoe Quinn just proves that he is smart.

Ranting about Islam is a different matter, though. But he has the right to express his opinions anyway.

Can't be bothered to put too much energy into this, although I must say I was disgusted with the racism and islamophobia shown in some of those posts. There has been a couple threads about it on the official forum I see, both closed due to wild speculation, and here is one response from a moderator.
