When i launch the game black screen appears immediately and... that's all.
I can't even use ctrl alt delete combination to go back to the desktop, computer restart is needed.

This problem refers to Pharaoh Gold and Zeus/Poseidon

Is there any solution?

I use compatibility mode and "run aplication as admin"

The game does work on Windows 7 64-bit, this sounds like you are trying to set a resolution of the game for which your monitor does not support. Make sure you've closed down any background processes (anti-virus programs for example) and disable Shadowplay (if you have an nVidia graphics card).

If all else fails, please upload a short video showcasing what happens and what you are doing to launch the game. Thanks.
Thanks for your reply.

I'm not able to record video because when black screen appears i can do nothing (alt-ctr-del doesn't work, alt +f4 neither) computer restart is the only solution when black screen shows up.

I don't have nVidia card.
I turned off all programs and run the game but nothing changed

I'm running both of the games mentioned on Win 7 with 64 bit.

I've had a look to see if I've used a compatibility option and I haven't. Try turning the compatibility mode off (i.e. deselect your selection) and see if the games then run okay.

Good luck I hope you get to play them soon :)

Yes, yes, yes! This did the trick for me - thank you.
I had a very sluggish blackscreen fading in and out with every click and huge input delay, deactivating ShadowPlay worked. (Go to GeForce Experience -> ShadowPlay in the top righthand corner -> flick the switch to off -> start Pharao normally)

Im having the same problem, Windows 7 64-bit, but I have a GeForce 560. It does not have a shadowplay option. Ive tried every thing I can think of to get the game to work but it refuses. It goes to black screen then back to desktop, like I never even clicked on it.

Some programs have an irritating habit of messing with games. For example, Samsung Magician makes it impossible to play Skyrim (as it keeps overlaying and minimising the game). Try closing down any kind of monitoring program (anti-virus, disk monitors, programs that were installed by other programs etc) so that you can minimise the risk of problems.

Disabling UAC has also proven to be an effective way of reducing many of the issues with older programs, so if you don't have it turned off, do so as well.

I have done that, even tried running the program in safe mode. In safe mode, it will start up, I will be able to get to the menus and choose to start the game, and it will crash. UAC is disabled, Ive tried running the program as admin, disabled all antivirus and monitoring programs, and it still refuses to work. :(

Sorry for not replying faster, have been feeling down for coming here (as you can see, the reputation counter on my account dropped a bit from last time but I won't bore you with those details).

Other than what I suggested, I don't know what else can be wrong. I do know that some games just simply don't work and it can only be hardware related. Sometimes just having too recent drivers or a too new graphics card can be enough to prevent a game working.

I'm sorry that I can't help any further. :(

THANK YOU!
Disableling Shadowplay did the trick!
