Might be related to a recent Microsoft Windows update download for Intel Graphics. Notified developers about the observation, while hinting to check if it can be related to previous known issue and persistent known issue for Mac users.

I truly hope no one else is affected.

It could be a one time thing or at least very hardware specific. After all the game was working just fine since launch day for me.

But I have read on Steam about horrible CPU temperatures before. And it is also a fact that the game brought my graphics card to the limits all the time before. But it was okay for the very long time.

Yet when I started to experience multiple emergency shutdowns of my graphics card while playing the game - from one day from another - until up to the point all I could saw was black screen and flickering green stripes on PC restart - yeah... I got worried...

I made a clean reinstall of the graphis card drivers, checked with a clean install with a previous version of the drivers, checked on visual sensor feedback, hardware was clean and is clean, no visual damage detected, fan speed adjustable and fully functional, stress test in 3DMark was okay too. Outruled everything else I could think of. If the stress test would not have been okay, after three times of testing, I would not think it might be because of the game bringing my graphics card for so long to its limit that it starts breaking.

Though still that thought is questionable since the card is concepted to withstand high temperature below the critical value before emergency shutdown.

In case someone questions the dice ingame ~

"If its rigged, they also rigged the "CombatLog.Txt" file that can be found in "%appdata%\..\locallow\owlcat games\pathfinder wrath of the righteous\". I hacked together a program to analyze this file and... It shows the expected flat, non-streaky, distribution, even when analyzing friendly d20 rolls separately from enemy d20 rolls.

Really, why would Owlcat deliberately used a biased RNG and modify the undocumented "combatLog.txt" to show fair results when they also bloat enemy statistics to the point of absurdity? If they wanted to make the game harder, just add another 20% to the enemy stats -- much easier to do, and not out of character given what they have already done."
