as seen above, is there a chest somewhere, where i can store my items?

If you have your barony already, you have a chest in your private chambers. But you don't need that. You can drop any item in any non-random encounter map and it will stay there forever. Even a loading screen tip mentioned this.

The chest in the bedroom where you find the preorder stuff seems to be linked to the one in the palace. I suspect it works that way before getting the barony, but i havent tested it.

There is a chest in olegs outpost at the second floor. This chest is a general chest, it is combined with the chest in your private chambers when you have a barony. It means, everything you put in there, can be found then in the other chest, too.

Yes i already used it. But when leaving the outpost the game reminds me to the loot i put there in.
So i thought it would be lost when i leave it there...
