Hello, I have been looking around and saw the excellent mod: Ostpack which updates the graphics and enables me to use Stugs and other tanks and russian tanks! And play on the eastern front which is awesome!
That is what I want from a mod more tanks, different eras and fronts, seen they also have a campaign in the west in 1940 which also was included in the mod on some site I looked on but:

I dont know shit about how to make a mod work, tried to download it and use it but nope, managed to get the files but when I start it I play the normal version no idea how to make the mod work.

Can someone write a guide for people who dont know how a mod work like since I have no clue?
If I get the mod to work and can play with other tanks and on the eastern front I will play this forever, hmm maybe gog.com could make the mod included in the future?
the mods dont work with the GoG version of PanzerElite. Sucks, but nothing you can do about it. Blame GoG and their half-assed work, (just bunging an installer does NOT always fix games GoG!!!)

I have the Panzer Elite Special Edition GOG 1.2 version installed on my Windows Vista 32-Bit HP laptop and the Panzer Elite Three (PE3) mod works - all 3 parts of it.

I enabled the mod through Mod Enabler in the apropriate order (a quotation from the first post in this thread):

Enable as follows in Mod enabler window:
1. PanzerEliteThree
2. Scenarios2009
3. Scenarios2010

The new main menu offers old campaigns and scenarios plus the new ones (in example: East Front, North Africa for UK and more).
There are more new features and game improvements as well.

The only bug that i encountered, was that sometimes the AI tanks had troubles with pathfinding - especially when crossing rivers, steep roads and in the built-up areas. The player needs to wait certain amount of time for their wingmen to arrive and keep the moving formation intact.

After I downloaded the mod from gog.com website and after spending hours on moving the games folders around and the mod files and folders to where I think they should be, I managed to get ostpak mod to start but:
Campaign mode dont fucking work: It says I need to download the missions -.- Heck when I download the mod from gog.com I trust the mission files is included but nope, game crashes due to it and need to restart, instant action although have new tanks but campaign mode dont work.
I couldnt find any missions either in the mod from gog.com.

So I downloaded the:
1. PanzerEliteThree
2. Scenarios2009
3. Scenarios2010

And put those in the mod folder like I did with ostpak and unzipped the files, and when I start the mod enabler: It cant detect those mods/files, no matter how I move the files around in the game files on the computer.

Sigh, at least I managed to get parts of ostpak mod to work but I give up, I have no knowledge about how this shit work xD I expect gog.com to include missions and everything in the mod and it automaticly get placed in the correct place so I just need to: Download the mod and activate it in the mod enabler and play, but no, have to manually select folders and move them around and even then it wont work -.-

You haven't downloaded the mod from gog.com. GOG doesn't support or host mods. There are a few exceptions where the included a mod in the installer for stability/compatibility reasons.

From what I can see gog.com have them for download, they might not be created by gog.com but made them downloadable to the game, add a photo of it here.

Hello judge_death,

you need to manually put the correct extract path for each part of the Panzer Elite Three Mod, when you click on the file archive. You will see a new folder inside the Mods folder in your Panzer Elite game directory.

Then you need to activate the mod in right order through Mod Enabler.

If you extract the mod parts in wrong location, there will be no mods for selection from Mod Enabler list.

Panzer Elite Three Mod was created by the PE community, so don't expect GOG will include them in their release.

However the GOG provides few mods from the Panzer Elite Special Edition game version.

Other mods like PP2-X, PE3, etc you will need to download and install by yourself.

Check this link: http://pedg.yuku.com/directory

I hope this will help you.

As far as I know I have done that and unzipped the panzer elite three folder in the mod category and then run the mod enabler but nothing. And the forum you link me to didnt help much.

Add pictures here showing where I put the panzer elite three folder and then later what the mod enabler says.

Hello,

you need to click on each of the 3 parts of Panzer Elite Three Mod installers (*.exe files) and set the correct extract (unzip) location to your Panzer Elite main game folder (i.e. C:\Program Files\GOG.com\Panzer Elite).

After that, the mod will be unpacked in the apropriate (separate) sub-folder into Mods directory and could be enabled through Mod Enabler.

You cannot just cut and paste manually all 3 packed archives in the Panzer Elite / Mods directory!

That is why the Mod Enabler don't shows the mod on the list.

This is the main rule of extracting all Panzer Elite mods, unless the installer tells you different.

By the way, the PEDG forum is related to Panzer Elite Three Mod as well as to many other mods and projects.

So, i gave you the right link - you just didn't found the right topic.

The Panzer Elite Three Mod is related to Ostpak: http://pedg.yuku.com/forums/9/Ostpak/Ostpak and

Shows what I know.
So a bit earlier someone mentioned the PE X mod, which supposedly provides the best possible graphics.

Is this mod included in the PanzerEliteThree mod last updated on January 20, 2013? (Just google it, I cant post links..)
And what do I need for this mod to work? Just the PESE from GOG, or the 1.2 Patch as well...? I mean apparently the GOG Special Edition already has the 1.2 Patch included?

Thanks in advance

manuel.espejo: I just buy PE SE on gog.com but the PE3 mod don't work on my system. any URL to get the ostpak mod for the PE 1.2 without the PE3 engine?
OK WIN10 is a whole NEW animal since I dont see ANYONE mentioning their O/S here...........I cannot get the mods to show up and I have tried unzipping PE3 directly into the game, into the mods folder, and it will NOT show up or work on either.I have nothing to enable, the game is run in compatibilty mode and run as an admin,so....

NONE of the MODS work on PAnzer ELite NONE of them for WIn 10 and this needs to be posted on GOG so NOBODY spends the money and needs to fight to get it back from GoG.this is the 3rd game now I have wasted money downloading only to have to submit DXDIAG to these clowns.Only to have them stupidly tell me it won't work when THey try it.Take my advice, unless you want to spend days fighting with unzipping and file fiddling, only to play a dated game,go download Armoured Warfare for free, get some better bang for no bucks.

Not sure what individual problems you may have using Win10, but more then one person on the PEDG forums are playing PESE and mods on Win10.

I have windows 10 and I think I know what your problem is. Your mod downloads are .exe right? Basically it's a winzip program that will automatically uncompress your files. Problem is the program is incompatible with Win10. What I did was just download the mods on an older Win7 computer, run the .exe files, and then move the extracted files back into Panzer Elite on my Win10 machine. Worked just fine.

ROFL,Yeah whatever,DUDE.....The fella that just replied to me at least ANSWERED the problem, and it DAMN sure wasn't posted in any of the so called "fixes"GoG offered.OK So in order for this to work,I need to use a WIN 7 machine first.LOL.........WOW.
