Hi schroedb. You can change the laguage of the game manually copying some files:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/outcast/change_game_language/_/1
Or you can use a program created just for that, here:

Regards

If you really want to do this (and have the original CDs) all you have to do is:
1) Download and Install Rad Video Tools (Freeware)
2) Copy avi file to harddisk
3) Start RadTools
4) Chose your avi file and click "bink it"
5) In the following window enter "1800000" in the data rate box (first under output box)
6) Click "bink" and wait a while....
7) Now chose the created bik file and click "advanced play"
8) Select "Create exe"
Before step 8 you can always play with the scaling and rendering setting to get the result you want. By creating a list file in the begining you have also the possibility to add the intro file and the two publisher files into one big "bik" file which you can transform into an exe file. I've done it with the german version and it worked great :)
