Omikron was a game I really wanted to play back when it came out and just recently started the game. I was ready to forgive all its clunkiness but when I reached the supermarket mission, I realized there are some serious design flaws to Omikron (when it comes to shooting or fighting). I really love the setting and the overall atmosphere, but I totally hate the aforementioned mechanics which were made very amateurish even for its time.
My question is the following... I love the game as an "adventure", but can't really take the shooting/fighting parts. What I noticed was when I die at the supermarket (during the shooting or when fighting with the later "boss"), the game seems to continue. So if I just die and skip those parts and continue enjoying the game, will I be missing anything? Is there any penalty to that?
I appreciate any help/input!
