Sweetz: So basically, getting the US voices just involves replacing 2 files in the GoG install. The problem is that one of those files is the game's disc image - which I don't really feel comfortable about making publicly available. If anyone at GoG wants to contact me, I'd be more than happy to provide them the US version ISO so they can make it available in an official manner.

kalirion: There must be freeware windows diff/patch utilities out there that you can use to create a patch, and GOGers can use to apply it. That way there would be no need to distribute the actual ISO.
Like this?

Random check in a couple years later! I guess GoG was never able to do anything with the US version ISO I sent.

If I get a chance, I'll look into one of those difference patchers. There will still be a problem of hosting it. Free services tend to drop files after 90 days of non-use and there obviously aren't that many people playing the game.

You should check with GOG to see if they even received the files you sent, it seems sometimes e-mails go missing due to clogged tubes and people putting stuff on the net like it was a big truck.

Been wanting to play this again recently with nostalgia intact.
Still haven't bought the GOG version, though I really should.
I hope they are still looking in to bringing us the US dub.
Fingers crossed.
Hi everyone, I was able to make a difference patcher as discussed. It doesn't have a fancy GUI installer, but it works, it's reasonably easy to use, and I have no qualms about distributing it since it can only convert the UK version of the US version and does not contain the full ISO.

I updated my original post with the link.

Very nice of you man.
Imma give it a whirl.
Much obliged.
The patch doesn't work for me. It makes it so normality crashes at startup. There were errors in the batch file. I took a screenie for you

batch.jpg (154 Kb)
Ack, apologies, I did some last minute renaming before I zipped up the files and had a typo in the batch file.

I've fixed the patcher for future downloads but those of you who have already downloaded it just need to do some simple renaming to fix

First we need to restore the original versions of the files, to do that, just remove the .bak from the following filenames:
norm.exe.bak
normal.gog.bak

Then rename the patcher utility to the name I gave it in the batch file (this was the typo):
NormalityUsVoices_VPatch.exe to NormalityUsVoices_VPatcher.exe

Re-run the RunMe batch file and it should work as intended this time.

Thank you! I tried your new patch. It seems to have worked! I loaded up the game, and I got the US voices. Im not going to be playing the game right now though, so I cant really say if the patch is without other issues.

It's essentially just replacing 2 files with the US versions, so I don't expect there to be any possibility other issues. It's the kind of thing that either works or it doesn't.
Sweetz - excellent work! Been hunting around for the US version for a while but never sure, being from the UK, if I would ever find it. Thank you very much for doing this!

I just came across this board after getting a newsletter and seeing normality in an email. Unfortunately, I LOST the original US copy of the disc which was why I was hoping GOG would stock it some day (and they did!) but to my dismay it was the UK version which I had never known about.

As for an alternative site, might I suggest mega.co.nz? It's basically megaupload's resurrection with what generally appears to be the exact same rules as before.
shit, wish I'd seen this thread before I bought it.
Anyone is welcome to rehost my patcher at any site of their choosing, but I'm not going to go to much more trouble myself. Looks like there's been enough downloads to keep it alive on Filefactory for now.
Any chance of a reupload as it no nolonger available as a free download its more than 30 days old?
