Hey all,

I recently bought 2 copies of NWN to play together with my GF. Problem now is that whenever she hosts a LAN game and I try to join her, I get a "CD-Key is already in use" error. Could this be because we installed the game on both PCs with the same downloaded files from my account? I didn't see the point in downloading the large file again, but I guess that's where I went wrong.

Reinstalling with the 2mb installer file from GOG, downloaded from her account, didn't change anything. Is there some way I can find the CD-Key appointed to the copy on her account and feed it into the game? (somewhere in the registry perhaps?)

You earned it. Did you come across this by accident or did you have happen this yourself? I'm eagerly awaiting a reply, but so far no luck. Was hoping to start our first adventure today, but alas, tomorrow is another day I guess.
I confess I found it in another thread. Still, posting it in this one, with the big SOLVED, should help others with the same question.

GOG doesn't work weekends so if you sent your request in after close of business on Friday (GOG's time, not yours, they are in Poland), then the earliest you might get a response is by Monday morning. However, factor in to that the number of requests that they are probably wading through (new game, big sales, lots of requests) and the normal 24-48 hour response time and you might not see anything until at least Tuesday. BioWare probably won't be able to help you; the issuing of cd keys is up to the reseller, not the developer.
I just bought 2 copies copies of NWN like op, to LAN with my brother, and I found that the two separate copies i bought have the same Cd keys. You can find your Keys manually in the game installation directory under the file name "nwncdkey.ini". Pretty annoying to find out, I bet all the copies they "sell" have registered the same CD keys. >.>

I'll fill out the support form, and hopefully they'll give me an UNUSED cd key or a refund.

Edit: Oh, I guess the link above explained the situation. Should've read fore I posted. Still seems arbitrary to not give out uniques in the first place. >.>

Thanks, yo.
It would be great if GOG could move to automated emailing of CD keys upon purchase of a game - pretty frustrating to have to wait given the instant nature of the online purchase.........
Do you have to make another account to buy 2 copies of this game?

I also read somewhere that you are "allowed" by GoG to install their games on however many computers you own. Does this mean I can ask for as many keys as I have computers or is NWN an exception and I have to buy it for each computer?
