The game starts but I can't click on anything. I can move the mouse pointer around the menu but selecting anything? Out of the question.

Anyone know any fixes for this?

I read about disabling movies and have tried that but no joy :(

I've had this one myself. The only "fix" I have found is to either ALT-TAB and then reselect the game or run it in windowed mode. Personally, because I like to play full-screen I use the former. Doesn't seem to do it all the time either, it's a strange one for sure.

Im a victim of this bug as well. It happens in the starting menus mainly the change resolution screen. If I change that my left mouse button will stop working. I have to leave resolution at 800x600 default and then it will still lock up my mouse buttons sometimes. Always in the startup menus.

Ive switched compatibility mode to Windows xp service pk2 and having better luck so far but still cant touch resolution settings without the issue popping back up.

Windows 10 z170 chipset.

Clicking through the opening videos for Bioware and Floodgate solves it for me.

Oh, and this also forces the opening cinematic with the minotaur to play.

My mouse works, so that I can play the game, but the keyboard yields absolutely no response in game.

My problem was that my keyboard worked but the game wouldn't accept mouse input. After several hours of fussing and fuming I found a very simple solution. All I needed to do was press alt and shift at the same time in the game window after it loaded fully.

I have the same problem, I think. All of a sudden, the ground is no longer clickable. My characters only move when I click on an item or character (or doorway) that can be interacted with. They also do still move with the keys - but cannot be made to change direction (turn left or right). The bug has affected all saves so I can"t go back to an earlier point in the game (and I'm almost at act III so I've spent more than 30 hours on it).

I've tried all the fixes proposed here, but nothing works. Is there a patch to bring this game beyond version 1.23?
